At 36 Boutport Street we are carrying out a significant restoration of a grade 2 listed building for our clinet North Devon Council. This upgrade amoungst other heritage repairs includes a full refurbsihment of every sliding sash window in the building. These box sash windows have been careflly removed, taken back to the shop for full refurbishment including the rebalancing of the original counter weights and installation of new hardware.
Heritage timber window restoration
The project involved two phases. Firstly, Pearce Joinery built the ticket kiosk, primarily in-house at the joinery workshop, for quick assembly on-site. Secondly, during the refurbishment works by Pearce Construction on the Café and Visitor Centre, our joinery team was called upon again to craft a set of bespoke oak gates, as depicted here. These oak gates are designed to conceal the skip area from public view.
